Grebaštica

Grebaštica is a small picturesque town, 15 km south of Šibenik, situated in the deep bay near the Oštrica peninsula. Regular bus services connect it with Šibenik.

Grebaštica was first mentioned in 1298 under the name of "Grebac". The ruins of old Roman buildings give evidence of an ancient Roman settlement. The theory is that the ruins of robust walls on the west side of the cemetery belonged to a Roman courthouse.
In summer Grebaštica comes alive, full of colours and youth.
