This world famous island is known for its stone from which the White House and the Diokletian Palace in Split are made out of. The most famous spot on the island is Bol, which is known for its specific beach called Zlatni Rat which draws in surfers from around the world every year. The tip of Zlatni Rat changes its position regularly depending on the direction of the current.

The island of Brac offers wonderful places for sightseeing such as the desert Blaca and the highest point on the island and of all islands in Croatia, Vidova Gora. The desert of Blaca, once a cave served as a shelter for locals many years ago. As time passed, kitchens, bedrooms and clay ovens were built in there. You will be impressed with its library and observatory, which is world famous for its astronomical contraptions. The island offers crystal clear seas and beaches in every coastal town and along every coastal road, making it an ideal vacation spot for families.

For sport enthusiasts who want an active vacation, Brac is the ideal destination. Tenis lovers will love the 20 terrains on Bol, as well as trainers and coaches who are at your service at any time. Every year Bol holds a ladies tennis open. Bicyclists are offered bike rentals and organised tours around the entire island. Hikers and mountain climbers will love Vidova Gora (780m), which offer great trails for running, hiking and walking. Bol also offers water skiing, diving, jet skis, parasailing, kayacking and beach volleyball.

Brac has a main ferry connection to Split, which in the main season offers 14+ trips daily. The ferry ride from Split to Supetar lasts 45 minutes.

Solta is ideal for a calm family vacation. Numerous beaches wonderful for swimming as well as a rich gastronomical menue are offered on this serene island. Its guaranteed you'll get the rest and relaxation you need here, all while being only minutes away by ferry to Split.

The oldest town called Grohote is located in the center of the island inland. Only later did people begin to make the coastline on this island their home as well. The highest point on this island is 237m and is called Vela Straza.

The road wich leads to this point is very comfortable and shaded by coniferous trees. For an active vacation its reccomended going by bike.

Čiovo

Ciovo is located in center dalmatia, and is connected by a movable bridge to Trogir. This island is also considered a peninsula due to its incredible closenes to Trogir.

Ciovo was colonised back from the Roman empire, yet it was during the middle ages that small villages began sprouting from place to place in that area. Considering that the island is mostly rocky, there can also be found a few caves of which Bilosaj and Anicina caves are the most famous.

Ciovo can seem like an extention of Trogir. The island offers many beaches of which the locals are very proud of, as well as historical landmarks making this island a specific and fun place to visit.


Vis - the pearl of the Adriatic

Vis

Vis is the furthest inhabited island off the coast of Croatia. Its main towns are Vis and Komiza. The town of Vis, in historic times known as Issa, is the oldest urban inhabitance on the Adriatic. Settled far away from fast paced modern society, its the perfect place for those who love to vacation in peace and quiet surroundings of authentic coastal ambience made up of natural and culturaly historic beauties which are nearly untouched till today. The world organization for the preservation of the environment placed Vis on the list of 10 best preserved islands of the Mediteranean.

Near Vis is a small island called Bisevo, which is known for its Modra Spilja (the dark blue cave). The bottom of this cave is sparkly and light, which is a great place to take a trip to by boat. Komiza is widely known for its gourmet specialties. Beautiful beaches and bays thrill guests with their colors and are an ideal place for a peaceful rest.


Hvar

Hvar

The island of Hvar is the longest and sunniest island on the Adriatic coast, and its been said to be one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Its indented coastline, countless picturesque clean beaches, tons of sunshine and untouched nature as well as a rich historical culture are just some of the reasons to visit this island. The scent of lavender fields will enchant you as well. Wine and olive oil are available everywhere on the island and can be considered some of the best.

The city of Hvar is full of cultural artifacts tracing back centuries. Above the city is a fort called Fortica. The largest city square in croatia is in the city of Hvar and it measures 4500m2. The eastern side of the square is closed off by a cathedral and bishops palace in which a museum is located. A large well that decorates the center of the square dates back from 1520a.c. In front of the main port of the city is a wonderful archipelago called Pakleni Otoci (Fire Islands). This is a main target of boaters and swimmers because of its azzure beaches and bays.

Places such as Jelse and Stari Grad(Old Town) will enchant tourists for their peace, narrow streets, romantic squares and gastronomy. Fun and nightlife in the city of Hvar are world famous. In some bars which organise after beach parties, the fun starts around noon and doesnt stop till the next morning.
